Amazon Prime Day Wearable Tech Deals — Dates, Early Discounts, Tips, and Tricks

Amazon Prime Day has grown into one of the biggest sales events of the year, with offers rivaling those of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The 2024 sale day will kick off on July 16 and 17. Once the sale begins, you’ll have 48 hours to shop for thousands of discounts across all categories.

The only limitation?

You must be a Prime member to take advantage of the deals. So, if you aren’t a member yet, register for Amazon Prime’s 30-day trial for free and expect hundreds of thousands of discounts on Prime Day.

If you’re a student, you might be eligible for a discounted Prime Student membership, which includes a 6-month free trial. Alternatively, you can sign up to have text alerts once your item is dropped.

Otherwise, if you’re ready to shop now, Amazon has released several early Prime Day deals on popular wearable tech.

For that reason, I scraped the Amazon Store, hunting for early Prime Day deals you can take advantage of on wearable tech.

Here’s what I found out.

Best Early Prime Day Deals Available Now on Wearable Technology

The best deals will likely wait until Amazon Prime Day kicks in. However, if you need something right now, these deals are worth checking (the discounts may change on different days)  — some discounts match what we saw during last year’s Prime Day.

Early Wearable Tech Prime Day Deals

1. Apple Watch Series 9 (41MM): $399 now $299 (Saves $100)

View Deal on Amazon

The Apple Watch Series 9 is the world’s most popular smartwatch, and it’s for a reason—it’s more accurate at reading your body’s health data. It comes with the S9 chip, which is faster, smarter, and better at reading body signals.

Consequently, the Apple Watch Series 9 is an ideal fitness tracker and an excellent substitute for a Fitbit. You’ll be delighted with how well it can track your health while delivering other safety and convenience features. Besides, you get a 2000-nit bright display, which makes it better for outdoor activities such as walking, running, hiking, cycling, and sports in full sunlight. You can dim the display to 1 nit indoors, as the always-on display draws less power.

With the ongoing early Prime Day deals, you can get this wearable tech for $299 and save $100. Needless to say, this is one of the biggest discounts I’ve seen on this 41mm smartwatch.

2. Echo Frames (3rd Gen) Smart Glasses: $299 now $169 (Save $130)

View Deal on Amazon

Most audio-focused smart glasses sound good in theory but fall short of matching the sound quality of conventional earphones. However, Amazon’s 3rd Gen Echo Frames have a decent balance between stealth, style, and sound quality.

While you won’t get a lot of bass sound to talk of, and most outside noise will overwhelm whatever you’re listening to, these smart glasses have surprisingly good microphones. That way, they function well on voice calls and let you complete tasks hands-free.

You can use the glasses with Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistance to ask for the latest news and weather or have them play music via their built-in speakers. If you order the Echo Frames and take advantage of the ongoing Amazon Prime Day deal, you can save $130 by getting them at $169 instead of the original price of $299.

3. Garmin Vivoactive 4S: $329.99 now $189 (Save $140.99)

View Deal on Amazon

Garmin is renowned for creating the best alternative to Apple Watches, and it performed well with the Garmin Vivoactive 4S. Unlike the previous Garmin series, the company added a ton of fitness improvements to this watch, such as optional all-day pulse ox monitoring, custom workouts, hydration tracking, new breathing exercises, and on-screen animations.

Unsurprisingly, all these extra features add up to this smartwatch’s $329.99 starting price. Luckily, the early Amazon Prime Day discount lets you get this watch for $189 (saving you about $141). You’ll appreciate this smaller-sizedGarmin Vivoactive 4S if you have a small wrist and are looking for a fitness monitor with impressive battery life. Expect the battery to last up to seven days on a single charge.

The extra fitness features add a lot of value, pushing the Vivoactive 4 ahead of the Apple Watch in terms of fitness. Shopping now would be ideal if you’re looking to stay under $200 and save over $140 on a smartwatch with fitness features that are almost equal (or superior) to Apple Watches.

4. Apple AirPods Gen 2: $130 now $89 (Save $41)

View Deal on Amazon

Apple AirPods Gen 2 is a king in quality and design. Even though it’s made of plastic, it feels great, and it’s lightweight and sturdy enough to toss into the pocket. Their lightweight nature lets you enjoy the barely-there feeling of wearing AirPods.

While you’ll get a wireless charging case, better battery life, and hands-free Siri access, the sound quality isn’t as stellar as in the more advanced Pro models. The earpiece also doesn’t fit snuggly, making it inept for vigorous activity. However, you’ll get above-average microphones ideal for voice calls, dictating notes, and communicating with Siri.

Since you won’t get the best of the AirPod with the Gen 2, they are only ideal if you’re on a budget but still want the convenience that comes with this technology. The early Prime Days preview sale lets you save an extra $41 if you make your order now.

5. Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47 MM: $429.99 now $255 (Save $174.99)

View Deal on Amazon

Besides the price, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is only different from the standard Galaxy Watch 6 in design. The software, hardware, battery specs, durability rating, connectivity features, user interface, and internal memory are similar. However, the Classic is heavier because of the stylish stainless steel. It has a physical rotating bezel that allows for more exact physical control.

The larger models cost $30 more, bringing their starting price to $429.99. However, if you take advantage of the early Prime Day discount, you can get this Classic for $255, saving you almost $175. Again, I’ve not seen the price dip this low, so there’s no reason to wait if you want one.

Similar to how the Apple Watch works exclusively with iPhones, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic works only with Android phones. It’s compatible with phones running on Android 10 or higher. While you can pair it with non-Samsung Android devices, some features, including irregular heart rhythm notification, Camera controller, and phone separation alarm, only work with Samsung handsets.

6. Garmin Epix Gen 2: $899 now $599 (Save $300)

View Deal on Amazon

If you are an extremist and don’t want to compromise on anything, the Epix lineup is always ideal. You essentially get all the top-end a sports watch can offer — the most advanced sports tracking tech, sharp, vivid display, and respectable battery life.

The 2024 early Prime Day deal promises to get you this ultimate watch at $599 for a piece that would otherwise cost you $899. This would save you a whopping $300 while delivering crisp graphs and vivid maps that are easily read in any lighting condition.

This stunning screen is made possible by the AMOLED tech, which is relatively superior as it can last for up to six days on a single charge. If you switch to the Apple Watch instead, you must charge it every night.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

Amazon has confirmed that Prime Day will start on July 16th at 12:01 a.m. PDT and end on July 17th. This is a week later than anticipated—the event usually happens during the second week of July, though Amazon has deviated before.

After kick-off, you’ll have 48 hours to take advantage of the Prime deals.

Meanwhile, we have highlighted several early Prime Day offers on Wearable Tech.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is an annual summer sale that was first introduced in 2015. During its first years, Prime Day was a one-day event meant to celebrate the Amazon’s 20th anniversary.

Since then, the sale has transformed into a two-day annual event in which Amazon offers major discounts on thousands of products.

Since 2022, Amazon has also hosted October Prime Day, though they typically call it something else.

How Long Do Prime Day Deals Last?

Amazon Prime Day 2024 will run for 48 hours, from July 16th through July 17th.

Must You Be A Prime Member to Shop Amazon Prime Day?

Yes, Prime Day is exclusive to Prime subscribers. You must be a member to enjoy thousands of deals during the Prime Sale.

If you aren’t a member yet, take advantage of Amazon’s 30-day free trial. This will let you explore all the benefits of a Prime subscription without paying a dime. After 30 days, Amazon will charge you $14.99 monthly or $139 yearly for membership.

You might be eligible for the discounted Prime Student membership if you’re a student. The student tier includes a six-month free trial.

Is Everything Discounted for Prime Day?

No, you won’t get a discount on every item on Amazon during Prime Day. The event isn’t a site-wide sale.

However, you’ll get exclusive access to millions of deals across almost all product categories, including wearable tech, electronics, kitchen, beauty, and clothing.

Prime Day is when we see some of the year’s lowest prices on Amazon production. New deals drop every five minutes during the event.

However, you must be a Prime Member to take advantage of the deals.

Is Prime Day Better Than Black Friday?

The answer largely depends on what you’re shopping for. If you want to save on Amazon devices, tech, small appliances, and wearable tech, you will find some great deals during Prime Day.

On the other hand, Black Friday allows you to save at nearly every retailer you can think of. It’s usually a better time to save on clothing, furniture, and major appliances.

An Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or a slightly discounted $139 per year if you choose the annual plan.

Amazon also offers several discounted membership programs, Prime Students and Prime Access, for shoppers with specific qualifications.

How Many Times A Year Does Prime Day Take Place?

One — technically, there is only one Prime Day each year. However, Amazon has had a similar saving event in October for the past two years.

In 2024, Amazon hosted its first-ever Big Spring Sale Event, increasing its annual sales repertoire. Time will tell if this spring event will become a tradition.

What Countries Can Access Prime Day Sales?

The Prime Day 2024 will be available in 24 countries:

  • Austria
  • Australia

  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Egypt
